India's tour of England
Here are a few things the Indian team needs to take care of ahead of the England tour.

India is all set to meet England in a full series comprising of three ODI’s, three T20I’s and five Tests which is slated to start early next month.

Before the limited-overs series against England, India will play Ireland in a two-match T20I series on June 27th and 29th. It will be a perfect opportunity for the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli to get used to the conditions here.

The conditions in Ireland will be quite similar to England and India will look to take full advantage of the matches.

The limited-overs series against England won’t be an easy one for India. Despite being in terrific form, India must keep in mind this England team is the No 1 in ODI cricket, and it will be a tough job for the Men in Blue.

Here are three key factors which India should keep in mind ahead of the limited-overs assignment against England

The threat of the English spinners

The English spin duo of Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid has been quite superb in the recent times. The pair was instrumental in helping England to convincing victories in the first two ODI’s against Australia.

They have picked up ten wickets together with five per match combined. Moeen Ali has been used quite intelligently by skipper Eoin Morgan.

He has been given the ball in the powerplay overs, and it has paid rich dividends. He has bagged crucial wickets and has wrecked the opposition.

Adil Rashid, on the other hand, has been mostly used in the middle overs to control the game. Rashid has also done an excellent job for England. However, there is no denying the fact that the Men in Blue are masters of spin.

However, Moeen Ali troubled them quite a lot in the Test series in 2014. Hence he might be a potential threat to the Indians.

The form of the English batters

The England batting line-up has been quite formidable over the past two years. They have been the No 1 ODI team in the world for a reason.

The opening duo of Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow has got the team off to stunning starts on quite a few occasions. The pair has been the star for England and was successful even during the 1st two ODI’s against Australia.

In Eoin Morgan, Joe Root and Ben Stokes they have able middle-order batsmen who can up the ante whenever required. Meanwhile, Jos Buttler also can change the complexion of a match within minutes.

Even the lower-order can bat well. David Willey is a good striker of the ball, and even Adil Rashid can chip with some useful runs.

The inexperience of Indian spinners playing in England

The Indian spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal has been quite brilliant in the limited opportunities they have got for the national team.

They have replaced the experienced duo of Ashwin and Jadeja in the limited-overs format. The move has worked wonders, as they have been wicket taking options for Virat Kohli.

They bagged 33 wickets between them during the ODI series in South Africa. They hadn’t played in South Africa before either. Hence they shouldn’t worry about their inexperience.

Kuldeep and Chahal might get hit for some runs, but they should remain confident and keep bowling attacking lines which has given them so much success in their brief careers.
