Team India played a terrific brand of cricket in the final T20I against England. Riding on a sensational century from Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue chased the target of 199 down with 8 deliveries to spare. Rohit who was due for runs and he delivered on a big day. The Men in Blue have played some exceptional cricket in the white ball format and it was their 6th straight series victory in T20I cricket on the bounce.

India has a core group of players to chose from. However, there are certain players who have hardly been rotated in the white ball format despite their few hiccups here and there. Virat Kohli has an inclination to few players which have reflected in the team selections.

Let us have a look at 3 players who have never been dropped by Kohli despite indifferent performances

The right-arm leggie has never been dropped by Kohli from the limited overs team. He has a been undoubtedly a great find of Indian cricket in the limited overs format. However, just like Kuldeep, he has also gone for some runs on quite a few occasions. A leg spin bowlers tend to leak runs on occasions.

However, the wicket-taking abilities make Chahal a big player. Kuldeep bowled quite brilliantly and Chahal wasn’t at his best in the first two matches. However, he was still a part of the final T20I and Kuldeep faced the axe.

Rahul has been a great performer for India in the last few months. However, Rahul was tried to accommodate in the middle order just to make him a part of the playing XI during the tour of Sri Lanka. However, sticking with him is paying rich dividends.

He was a member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore outfit in the 2017 edition. He forged several memorable partnerships with Kohli and is a close pal of the Indian skipper. Despite his ordinary performances in the past, Rahul has always maintained his place. Now he richly the deserves the place in all 3 formats of the game.

The speedster was included in the playing XI for the final clash against England ahead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. It goes on to suggest how highly Kohli rates him. He was quite brilliant for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and ended the tournament as the highest wicket-taker for Bangalore. Kohli has been fond of Umesh and his record in the recent past speaks highly.

However when Jasprit Bumrah returns it will be difficult for Umesh to retain his place in the playing XI. He has had his woes in the death overs. Before the World Cup next year, Umesh will need to solve his problem in the death overs.
