On Sunday, in Chennai, a lot of drama took place when Ravindra Jadeja was declared out controversially. It was one of those moments, which didn???t please the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and the Indian fans, as the umpire asked for a review after watching the run-out replays of Ravindra Jadeja on a big screen. Speaking of the same, Aakash Chopra connected the whole scenario to Steve Smith???s incident, which happened in Australia???s previous tour to India for a Test series.
The match witnessed a controversial moment when Kieron Pollard made a late review, which saw the dismissal of Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. While the dismissal became a big topic of discussion, cricket expert Aakash Chopra compared it with Steve Smith???s ???brain fade??? moment as Pollard???s decision seems to have come after someone from the dressing room pointed out the run-out dismissal to him.
The incident took place in the 48th over of India???s innings, when Jadeja went for a quick single, but the fielder affected a direct hit at the striker???s end. On-field umpire George did not give it out though Jadeja was short of the crease, as replays would later show. The wicket came at a crucial stage in the first innings for the Windies as Jadeja departed in the 48th over after scoring 21 off 21 balls.

Does the end justify? Aakash Chopra question:
If he had stayed at the crease till the end, the left-hander could have easily added more runs to the total. Jadeja is capable enough to tonk the ball but walked back in a controversial manner. Though Virat Kohli wasn???t satisfied with the call, Kieron Pollard was happy that the correct decision was made in the run-out controversy.
???Jadeja run-out. Umpire gave it not-out. Pollard was told by someone from the dressing room that it was OUT. He insisted that the on-field umpire heads upstairs for help. OUT was given OUT. But does the end justify the means?? How???s it different from the Smith #brainfade moment???? Chopra tweeted.
West Indies sealed the first ODI in Chennai:
Initially, India rode on half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer (70) and Rishabh Pant (71) to post 287/8 after being asked to bat first on a slow wicket. But Shimron Hetmyer cracked a career-best 139 while Shai Hope scored an unbeaten 102 as the West Indies romped home with 13 balls to spare after scoring 291/2 in 47.5 overs.
