On Monday, BCCI announced their squads for the ODI and T20I series against Australia and Kiwis Tour. They have made quite a few inclusions and exclusions to name their final squad for the upcoming bilateral series. Meanwhile, the cricketer-turned-analyst Aakash Chopra questions the ignorance of Shreyas Iyer.

Shreyas Iyer name was missing from the chart that will see Virat Kohli leading the side while Rohit Sharma will continue his role in assisting Virat Kohli. What came as a surprise was the inclusion of Three wicketkeepers in the side. Perhaps, one between Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant was considered as the batsman.

Aakash Chopra tweets for Shreyas Iyer:

After returning from Australia post the Test series, Rishabh Pant will play for India A in the five-match one-day series at home against England Lions. Manish Pandey also failed to make the cut. However, Dinesh Karthik has been recalled to India???s ODI squad.

Meanwhile, they gave an explanation for the snub of Rishabh Pant but failed to make a comment on Manish Pandey or Shreyas Iyer. They felt that there is no requirement for Pant in the current setup with Dinesh Karthik, KL Rahul backing MS Dhoni.

India is currently engaged in a Test series against Australia and will play three ODIs against them starting on January 12. The first ODI will be held at the SCG. The second ODI will be held on January 15 at Adelaide Oval which will be followed by the third and final ODI at MCG on January 18.

This will be followed by a limited-overs engagement with New Zealand. It will be starting with five ODIs from January 23. And then, the three T20 Internationals against Kiwis is lined up from February 6.

Also, Here is the ODI squad:

Virat (Capt), Rohit (VC), KL Rahul, Shikhar, Rayudu, DK, Kedar Jadha. MS Dhoni (WK), Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammed Shami
