Former Pakistan seamer Aaqib Javed paid a fitting tribute to Sachin Tendulkar, whose career came to an end seven years ago in November. Sachin Tendulkar’s numbers are a testament to his greatness, ruling over the best of the bowlers with ease and decimating oppositions at will. Aaqib Javed reckons that the 47-year old deserved to do it, given all the quality he had.
Sachin Tendulkar played his final and 200th Test against the West Indies in his home ground of Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It ended in a crushing win for India as they beat the Caribbeans by an innings and 126 runs to win the two-match series by 2-0. Though there were centuries from Cheteshwar Pujara and Rohit Sharma, Tendulkar was the centre of attention. He perished for 74 runs in his last innings.
