With no cricket action happening at the moment, a leading sports website of Australia has irked Aaron Finch with their predicted team for the 2023 World Cup. Cricket all around the around is currently suspended in order to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

In a baffling team selection, the website left out Aaron Finch from the team. The right-handed batsman is one of the best limited-overs batsmen in the world right now. He also leads Australia’s T20I and ODI teams. Last year, Aaron Finch led Australia to the semifinal of the World Cup in England.

He led Australia from the very front. The opening batsman finished the competition as his team’s second highest run-scorer. In 10 games, he scored an impressive 507 runs with the help of two centuries and three fifties. He averaged an impressive 67.71 and had a strike-rate of over 87.

But despite Aaron Finch’s impressive performances for Australia over the years, Fox Sports kept him out of their predicted team for the 2023 World Cup which is scheduled to take place in India. And the Australia captain made his feelings clear when the news outlet revealed the news on Twitter.

In the list, David Warner was chosen to open the batting alongside Josh Philippe who has replaced Aaron Finch in the team. Steve Smith continues to hold his spot as the No. 3 batsman and is also named the captain. Marnus Labuschagne, Alex Carey, Cameron Green and Glenn Maxwell complete the batting line up.

Ashton Agar and Adam Zampa are the two spinners that were picked in the XI while Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins form the pace attack. And soon after the sports website revealed the team, Aaron Finch reacted to it. In his response, he posted a chain of emojis to make it clear that he was surprised to see the team.
