On Sunday, it was an eye-feast for the pure cricket fanatics. The fourth ODI game saw a lot of twists during the course with certain individuals showing their calibre on the middle. The high-scoring game saw a few stunning performances from either team, in which, Aaron Finch-led side emerged victorious after a few special knocks from their batsmen.

Initially, it was Peter Handscomb and Usman Khawaja, who stood like a warrior for Australia in the mammoth chase. The duo stitched 192-run partnership after losing 2 wickets for just 12 runs on the board. They both displayed their class to put Indians chasing the leather more often than not.

Amazing to get over the line in a record run-chase:

They tackled Indian tough bowling attack with great grit and determination and also took their chances against Kedar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar. Though they lost the wicket at crucial times, it was Ashton Turner, who smashed it brilliantly to make unthinkable happen for Australia.

Playing only his second ODI, Turner hit an unbeaten 84 off 43 balls with five boundaries and as many six sixes to help Australia win in only 47.5 overs. It was the highest-ever tally that India failed to defend in ODI format.

Meanwhile, Aaron Finch is thrilled with the victory. He lauded boys for their fantastic effort and quoted that he can’t wait for the game at Delhi for the decider. He gave a special mention to Peter Handscomb, Usman Khawaja and Ashton Turner in his tweet.

Digging into his tweet, it read ”What a game of cricket last night in Mohali! Amazing to get over the line in a record run chase for Australia! @phandscomb54, @patcummins30 & ashtonturner_70 all unbelievable…”

All in all, it was a fantastic night for Australia at Mohali during the 4th ODI of the game. They levelled the series 2-2 thus making a way for the deciding ODI at Delhi, which is the home ground of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. The final ODI will be played on March 13th.
