The India-Australia rivalry is one of the fiercest in the game. Over the last couple of decades, the rivalry has really grown into one of the most celebrate ones. Almost every India-Australia game consists of banter and sledging. Unsurprisingly, this rivalry has seen several heated altercations and controversies on the field in the last few years.

But then again, cricket is a gentlemen’s game and that spirit was shown once again by KL Rahul and Aaron Finch during the ongoing second ODI between the two countries at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The former Kings XI Punjab teammates were involved in a heartwarming moment on the field.

The incident took place in the 12th over of Australia’s innings. On the fifth ball of the over which eventually turned out to be a no-ball, fast-bowler Navdeep Saini bowled a high full toss at 145.6kph, hitting Aaron Finch on the tummy. The right-handed batsman looked in pain straightaway.

And as his partner David Warner walked towards him to check him, KL Rahul came from behind and tried to tickle the Australia skipper on the tummy. Aaron Finch realised it quickly and before Rahul could do anything, he pushed the India wicketkeeper away hilariously, leaving everyone in splits.

Here is a clip of the incident:

Meanwhile, Australia are off to a solid start once again with Aaron Finch and David Warner adding 142 runs for the first wicket. Mohammed Shami broke the stand when he sent back Finch for 60.

Australia are leading the three-match series after winning the series-opener by 66 runs. Batting first, the hosts had piled up 374 for 6 in their allotted 50 overs. Aaron Finch had scored 114 while Steve Smith had scored 105. In reply, India could only manage 308 for 8.
