Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced a 16-man squad for T20I series against Bangladesh. They will play three T20 Internationals against the Tigers in Dehradun. Afghan Cricket Board also revealed their 16-man squad for the one-off Test match against India.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman who impressed in the recently concluded Indian Premier League for the Kings XI Punjab has made the cut into Afghan team.

However, Dawlat Zadran and Zahir Khan are ruled out due to injury. Furthermore, fast bowler Dawlat Zadran is ruled out of the one-off Test against India.

Afghanistan has come up strong in the shortest format of the game.

Asghar Stanikzai will continue to lead the Afghan troops. Moreover, talisman spinner, Rashid Khan and all-rounder Mohammad Nabi have also made the cut into the Afghanistan T20I team.

However, he last played for Afghanistan when they played against Ireland in 2017. The youngster Darwish Rasooli who impressed in the first class form has also found his name in the Afghan team.

Meanwhile, their team has come through the ranks in the last four years.

Consequently, their players have played against all the odds to show an upward swing in their improvement. Afghanistan won the World Cup qualifiers to seal their World Cup spot in March.
