Ajinkya Rahane Slams Unbeaten Century In Drawn Game Against New Zealand A

India’s vice-captain in Tests, Ajinkya Rahane scored a scintillating century against the New Zealand A on Monday. The four-day game was held to a draw as a few of India’s players practised for the upcoming two-match Test series. Rahane remained unbeaten on 101 runs as India A piled up 467 runs for the loss of five wickets.
The New Zealand A batted first and put up 386 runs on the board for the loss of nine wickets. India A’s tour to New Zealand ended with a draw in the second unofficial Test.
The senior national side is also currently in New Zealand. They have clean-swept the Kiwis in the T20I series and stand on the brink of being clean swept in the ODI series. The Tests will prove to be the decider as to who emerges on top after the series comes to a close.

Ajinkya Rahane Smashes A Century In Lincoln:
Rahane has smashed a great century against New Zealand A on Monday. He remained unbeaten on 101 runs and played a handy knock for the team. He has gained his form at the most crucial of times. India will take on New Zealand in two Tests, the first of which will start on 21st February. Rahane’s innings comprised of 15 fours and a six.
Apart from Rahane, young opener Shubman Gill also continued his good run with the bat. Having scored a double century in the last game, Gill scored another century in this match scoring 136 runs. Vijay Shankar also made a handy contribution by adding a 66-run knock to the team’s total.
Cheteshwar Pujara also scored a half-century. He made 53 runs with the bat. R Ashwin had another forgetful performance as he bowled a total of 37.5 overs and could clinch only a couple of wickets.
India will take on the Kiwis in the first Test in Wellington.
