Akhil Rajput - the Son of Lalchand Rajput to Join Mizoram

Former Team India cricketer, Lalchand Rajput son, Akhil Rajput to join Mizoram and will make his debut in the upcoming domestic season.
The 26-year-old made it to the Mizoram as one of the outstation players in the men’s senior squad. They also named Punjab all-rounder Taruwar Kohli and Sinan Kader from Karnataka along with Akhil, Cricket Association of Mizoram.
“Akhil had sent his biodata. He impressed with him. Our office-bearers highly recommended him. Even Taruwar has been a fantastic player for his state,” CAM General Secretary Mamon Majumder told Sportstar.
A product of the cricket-popular R.A Podar College where he completed his graduation and post graduation at Rizvi College in Mumbai, Rajput has played hyperlocal tournaments such as Kanga League, Police Shield and Madhav Mantri Under-25 respectively.
“I am really happy that Mizoram has taken him. I am sure he will provide the Mumbai touch. The khadoos attitude to the team,” said Lalchand Rajput after hearing the news.
The latest cricket team representing the state of Mizoram in Indian domestic competitions. Subsequently, Lalchand Rajput is happy to see his son Akhil Rajput making it big.
Additionally, in July 2018, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the team as one of the nine new sides. It would compete in domestic tournaments for the 2018–19 season.
