Chennai Super Kings have been dealt with another injury blow with Ambati Rayudu missing out from the 2nd game of the three-time champions 2020 IPL campaign, MS Dhoni revealed at the toss.

CSK is locking horns with Rajasthan Royals at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, and as MS Dhoni said at the toss, Rayudu is not feeling 100 percent, and hence he will be replaced by the debutant Ruturaj Gaikwad. Ambati Rayudu was the spearhead with the bat during the Chennai Super Kings 5-wicket win over Mumbai Indians. The right-hander smoked a whirlwind 48-ball 71, and along with Faf du Plessis stitched a 115-run-stand to lay the cornerstone for the win.

Ambati Rayudu’s injury gives a chance to Ruturaj Gaikwad, who recently tested negative for Covid-19, after having spent a considerable period in isolation.

”We have one change. Rayudu is not 100 percent. Adaptability is the key in the shortest format. We have to quickly understand the wicket,” MS Dhoni said at the toss.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni won the toss and keeping the due factor in mind, has decided to field first.

”We will bowl first. Dew is a factor. I feel this is venue where the pitch will be different from the other two venues. I don’t know how hard the surface will be,” Dhoni added.
