Australian seasoned opener David Warner put on tons of runs in the recently concluded home season. The southpaw made a stellar comeback in the Indian Premier League, where he was seen playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The hard-hitter accumulated 692 runs from 12 games. But the Ashes witnessed a dip in form for the veteran cricketer.

Warner’s slump resulted in mere 95 runs from 10 innings at an average of 9.50. But he vowed to make a strong statement and returned with a career-best score of 335* against Pakistan in the 2-Test series. He amassed 489 runs and stamped his authority yet again. Known as the ‘Bull’, he followed it up with a productive series against New Zealand, in which he notched up yet another hundred.

David Warner was in red-hot form

He was the chief architect of the record-breaking chase against India in Mumbai. Warner and Aaron Finch hit respective tons and remained unbeaten to seal a 10-wicket win. However, the hosts made an emphatic comeback to clinch the series. With the series over, Warner is spending time in stocking up his resources.

'And You Wanted One More Bat From Me', Virat Kohli Reacts To David Warner's Latest Picture

In his latest Instagram post, the cricketer took a picture of his huge collection of bats. He shared it with his fans and followers and added that he might add a few more in the coming time. Interestingly, India skipper Virat Kohli, with whom Warner shares a good rapport, commented saying,  “And you need one more bat from me.”

The conversation clearly tells you the fact that Warner must have asked his Indian counterpart for a willow. Father to three girls, Warner had earlier shared a video where one of his daughter was seen imitating Kohli with a bat in hand. And that’s not all, in during the tour to India, Warner was expecting a dinner invitation from the Indian captain.
