When we talk about Caribbean cricketers then the first thing that comes to mind is flamboyance and flair. They love to enjoy both on and off the field and it is quite evident from the way they conduct themselves. They are real characters both on and off the field and if you have to name the greatest of them all it is none other than Mr. Christopher Henry Gayle who will be playing for the Kings XI Punjab this time around.
Gayle remained unsold throughout the first day and was bought only in the 3rd call by Kings XI Punjab for his base price of Rs 2 crores. He is no doubt a bit of an IPL legend and following his deal, the whole room started clapping given Gayles contribution to IPL cricket. Meanwhile, his Windies teammate Andre Russell has been retained by the Kolkata Knight Riders and his name wasn’t up for grabs in the auction.
Gayle who is known to call himself as the Universal Boss shared a video o his official Instagram handle where Andre Russell is seen showing his Punjabi bhangra moves. Gayle n his post wrote a caption which read, chrisgayle333@ar12russell is back but not with a bang after running into the Universe Boss! He said he was gonna dance when hit me for a 6 but it was the other way around…this is one of the dismissals today with the Punjabi dance.”

In the video, Gayle said that this Knight Riders player can play the Punjabi man to which everyone presents in the nets laughed. Russell was outside the nets waiting for his chance to bat when Gayle came up with the video and also asked Russell to show his Punjabi moves. Russell showed a Punjabi bhangra move and said he will celebrate in this manner after hitting a six.
Gayle wasn’t too impressed with the way Russell danced and instead showed a step and asked Russell to follow it. However, we will get to know what actually transpires once the tournament gets underway. Gayle will definitely look to prove his mettle and give a smashing reply to all the franchises who ignored him.
