Jassym Lora, wife of Kolkata Knight Riders star Andre Russell, has shut down a fan after the latter’s unsavoury remark on the allrounder’s batting form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

Andre Russell is yet to play any big knock in the ongoing tournament in UAE. Despite being given ample overs to bat so far, the right-handed batsman has failed to make the opportunities count. While he has shown glimpse of his dangerous batting but is yet to register any big score.

In four innings so far, his scores read – 11, 24, 13 and 2. And as Andre Russell struggles with his batting in IPL 2020, one fan decided to take the matter in his own hands. He took to Instagram to make a bizarre comment on Jassym Lora’s latest Instagram post, writing:

“Jassym aunty please go to Dubai Russell is not in good form”

Jassym Lora is not accompanying her husband for the ongoing IPL due to obvious reasons. Most of the players have traveled to UAE without their families due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the previous seasons, she was regularly seen in stands, cheering the allrounder.

Andre Russell hopeful of regaining form:

Andre Russell recently stated that he was confident of finding his batting form soon. The comments came after he managed just 2 runs against Chennai Super Kings earlier this week.

“I’m still confident (about finding form with the bat) and these things happen in cricket and I’m still working to find my way,” said the Jamaican.

The West Indies star, however, starred with the ball, helping KKR beat CSK by 10 runs to return to winning ways. He bowled the crucial 18th over of the game which probably turned the match in KKR’s side. CSK needed 39 runs from the last three overs and Andre Russell conceded just three runs. He went on to defend 25 runs in the final over.
