Andrew Tye believes Chris Lynn is in good stead for Tri-nation T20I series

Australian fast bowler Andrew Tye revealed his injury-marred teammate Chris Lynn is looking in good shape on his return in the national fold after a prolonged gap of little over one year.
“He’s ready to take down some bowlers,” Tye was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia.
The 29-year-old explosive batsman Lynn has played five Twenty20 Internationals and a solitary One-day International for Australia which further saw him struggling with the left shoulder injury.
“I’ve just started to throw on my left side now, which is a good sign,” Lynn added.
The right-handed batsman Lynn who plays for the Big Bash League franchise Brisbane Heat has been inducted in the upcoming Tri-nation series which includes New Zealand and England.
“(My shoulder is) getting there. It’s not 100 percent. Won’t be for probably another 12 months if I’m being honest,” Lynn stated.
Lynn previously donned the coloured jersey against Pakistan at the home ground Gabba on January 13, 2017, which saw him scoring 12-ball 16 runs.
The promising batsman Lynn is looking forward to do well, as the 31-year-old Perth-based bowler Tye observed he is hitting the white-ball neatly.
“He’s hitting them pretty well, he’s looking as good as ever,” Tye said.
Australia has already picked the best-possible 14-member squad for the short-paced series which will be beginning at the Sydney Cricket Ground where the Trans-Tasman rivals will face off on February 3 and the final of the competition will be held at Eden Park in Auckland on February 21.
“We’re looking and expecting to good things from this group. We know we’ve underperformed in this format for a while now,” Tye maintained.
Struggling with fitness, Lynn has already sweated it out in nets after running drill, as Heat was shown the exit in the ongoing domestic professional T20 league.
“They’re comfortable with how my body’s going at the moment,” Lynn said of selectors.
Earlier, Lynn was sidelined for the recently concluded five-match Gillette ODI series after suffering from the calf injury in January.
Lynn striking it as clean as possible in nets:

Tye’s comments came when Lynn smashed the ball well alongside stand-in skipper David Warner and worn-out Glenn Maxwell.
“I would’ve loved to have played a few more games to get the confidence up,” Lynn added.
Interestingly, the support staff found it interesting as the bowlers were made to toil hard while most of the balls were dispatched to the major distance.
So much so, the lanky paceman Billy Stanlake was struck on the ankle but was fortunate enough to walk off without any injury.
Tye thinks of improvement in T20Is:
After 4-0 drubbing in the home conditions at the hands of England in ODIs, Tye, who represented Australia in seven T20Is and four ODIs remarked they are going to give their best in a bid to improve their rankings in the shorter version of the game.
“We’re definitely trying to rectify that and try to move up in those rankings and get up to the top where we should be,” Tye asserted.
Tye has bagged 14 wickets across the limited-overs format for Australia since making his debut in January 2016 against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
