Arjun Tendulkar Bags a Six-Wicket Haul in U-19 Match for Vijay Merchant XI

Of late, Arjun Tendulkar is becoming a regular headliner in the Indian Cricket. Being a son of the legendary player, at the drop of a hat, Arjun Tendulkar has received much attention compared to the other players in the side. However, rather than being a blessing, it has become a pressure factor for the youngster.

Meanwhile, he once again grabbed the headlines and this time, it is only for his brilliance on the field. The left-handed fast bowler has grabbed six wickets to his name for Vijay Merchant XI in the under 19 cricket match.

Playing for Vijay Merchant XI in the KC Mahindra Trophy, Arjun Tendulkar bowled a firing spell in the second innings of the game to hand a convincing victory for the team.

As it happened:

Initially, it was Vijay Majrekar XI, who won the toss and choose to bat first. The heroics by Vignesh Solanki, who picked a four-wicket haul for Merchant XI restricted the opposition to a paltry 233 runs on the board.

In reply, Pragnesh batted beautifully by knocking 155 runs to push his side to a decent tally of 335 runs. Manjrekar XI, who started the second innings by trailing 102 runs, never looked settled in facing Arjun.

The blistering spell of Arjun Tendulkar helped Merchant XI bundle out Manjrekar XI for 216 runs. Chasing a mere tally of 115 runs, Vijay Merchant finished the match at the expense of four wickets. All in all, it has been a convincing victory for Vijay Merchant against Manjrekar XI. Meanwhile, Tendulkar’s son is pushing the barriers to find a place in the Indian Under-19 side.

Meanwhile, there is a talk on the air that Arjun Tendulkar is eyeing to make his name into the list of the IPL auctions for the upcoming Indian Premier League edition.
