Arjun Tendulkar is making the right noises with his performances as the left-arm pacer bagged a five-wicket haul in the ongoing Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Thus, Mumbai was able to skittle out Gujarat for a paltry score of 142 runs. The Junior Tendulkar was right on the money with his incisive bowling as he scalped 5-30 in his fine spell.

The match between Gujarat and Mumbai was played at Kholvad Gymkhana Club in Surat. Thus, Mumbai was able to cruise to a convincing win by nine wickets as they got to the target without any trouble.

Meanwhile, Arjun Tendulkar was once again the cynosure of all eyes. Tendulkar has shown a great promise in the recent past. In fact, the 18-year old player was part of the India Under-19 team that had toured Sri Lanka. However, he was not able to come up with eye-catching performances.

Tendulkar had scalped only three wickets and scored just 14 runs in the two-match Youth Test series. Therefore, Tendulkar was not able to live up to the ever-rising expectations.

However, he was able to deliver for his state team as he was too good for the Gujarat batsmen. Tendulkar has been doing a fine job with the ball and has the skills to bowl at a good speed. On the other hand, he could not make the cut for the ongoing Under-19 Asia Cup. India Under-19 team is playing in the final against Sri Lanka Under-19 today.

Meanwhile, Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl first. Tendulkar struck with his second ball of the match as he knocked over the stumps of Vardhman Dattesh Shah. Arjun was able to pick two more wickets as he left Gujarat reeling at 16-3. Furthermore, the prodigy bowler came back with another fine spell in the death overs to take two more wickets to complete his five-wicket haul.

It was a fine bowling effort from Arjun Tendulkar and it must have done him a world of good after a mundane tour of Sri Lanka. Hence, he would look to continue with his good form.
