Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is certainly living up to the hype attached to his name. The 18-year-old had grabbed the headlines pretty often in recent times, one of which was when he injured English batsman Jonny Bairstow in a practice session. However, he has broken into the limelight again with his outstanding display with the ball in the Cooch Behar Trophy.

Arjun took a five-wicket haul in the second innings of the match between Mumbai and Railways which saw his team thrash the Railways by an innings and 103 runs. He had earlier picked up a fifer against Madhya Pradesh around 20 days back and followed it up with four wickets to his name against Assam. The match between Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh ended in a stalemate while Madhya Pradesh was beaten comprehensively.

Mumbai won the toss and their decision to bat first turned out to be a good one. The team put up 389 runs on the board riding on a magnificent double century by double century by Yashasvi Bhupender Jaiswal. The left-handed Arjun Tendulkar contributed 21 runs with the willow in hand in the Mumbai inning.

The Railway team were bundled out for just 150 runs in their reply, thanks to A Vashishtha who bowled a magical spell picking up eight wickets for just 30 runs. They were asked to follow on, but a rampant bowling display from Arjun saw them get restricted to just 136 runs once again.

Arjun picked his five wickets for 44 runs in the 11 overs that he bowled. He picked the first four batsmen of Railways and then came back to take the ninth wicket to complete his five-for. Arjun was brilliantly economical in the first innings as well but did not get a result. He bowled six overs and gave away 23 runs which had one maiden in it.
