India beat Pakistan by eight wickets in their second group game in Asia Cup 2018 in Dubai.

The team members played a fantastic all-round cricket at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. Well, a lot had taken place during the game to make it to the talking points of the day.

However, earlier in the day, Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and opted to bat first. Bhuvneshwar Kumar provided a dream start for the Men in Blue, dismissing openers Imam Ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman for a duck. However, in the middle, Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik added some vital 82 runs. Consequently, Pakistan couldn’t build up a steady partnership amongst them.

Moreover, the Indian bowlers did some splendid job and rattled Pakistan only to post a score of 162 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kedar Yadav each bagged three wickets in their side’s second match of the Asia Cup 2018.

However, while chasing down the target, India started their innings brilliantly.

The opening pair, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar partnered for 86 runs. Pakistan failed to break the opening stand of India until the 13th over. However, Shadab Khan made the breakthrough for Pakistan. After the captain departed, Dhawan couldn’t hold his temperament and lost his wicket by a superb delivery from Faheem Ashraf.

Furthermore, Dinesh Karthik and Ambati Rayudu end up the match on a good note in the twenty-ninth over of the Asia Cup 2018.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar picks up three wickets

Bhuvneshwar Kumar made early inroads, as he removed both Pakistan openers. The right arm pacer got Imam-ul-Haq (2) caught behind in the second over and then scalped Fakhar Zaman for a duck. He bowled a fabulous spell of seven overs picking up three wickets just giving 15 runs.

Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik partnered 82 runs

Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik partnered some vital 82 runs in the middle for Pakistan. However, after the early loss of Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman within three runs, Pakistan was in big trouble. The duo helped them to add some runs which helped Pakistan to post a total of 162 runs in the fifth match of Asia Cup 2018.

Kedar Yadav took three wickets in the middle for India

After Hardik Pandya got injured, Kedar Yadav was given the opportunity with the ball. However, he put up some good show and took three wickets to his name.

Moreover, Jadhav bowled a superb spell of nine overs picking up three wickets just giving 23 runs. Kedar Yadav also bowled economically and did the task for India in Dubai.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan partnered 50+ runs

India while chasing down the target, the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan partnered for 86 runs. Dhawan was looking good from the first match only against Hong Kong where he scored a brilliant century.

However, the India skipper, Rohit Sharma who failed to put some good show in the first match scored a half-century with Dhawan. It helped India to reduce the pressure on the middle order batsman.
