It was an outstanding final at Dubai International Stadium last night. India and Bangladesh fought tooth and nail to win the Asia Cup 2018. However, in the end, it was the Indians, who held their nerves to seal the trophy. Meanwhile, Rameez Raja hails the fantastic captaincy by Rohit Sharma and Mashrafe Mortaza.
Rameez Raja has been close to the tournament, as he was one of the presenters of the Asia Cup 2018. He watched the game from close quarters and finally, came up with his opinion on the tournament progress.

For me, Mashrafe Mortaza is the best skipper of Asia Cup 2018: Rameez Raja
The former player of Pakistan showered words of praise on Mashrafe Mortaza for his astounding captaincy. He led the team with utmost determination and grit despite losing the likes of Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal.
Mashrafe Mortaza surprised everyone when he opened the bowling with Mehidy Hasan against Pakistan and yielded success. Further, he tried his heart out in defending 223 runs against India in final as well.
Apart from Mashrafe, Rameez Raja termed India is cut above the rest of the team in the tournament. He also lauded the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, whose team remained unbeaten in Asia Cup 2018 barring a drawn game.

‘Great final..India were a cut above the rest and the team to beat… Rohit is an outstanding leader, but for me, the captain of the tournament was Mashrafe Murtaza. He didn’t let Tamim & Shakib’s absence deter his team’s campaign. They almost made it!” Rameez Raja’s tweet read.
