India beat Bangladesh convincingly by seven wickets in their first match of the Super fours in Asia Cup 2018 in Dubai.

The Indian team played excellent cricket at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai in their first match of the Super Fours. Meanwhile, a lot had happened to fall into the talking points of the day.

However, earlier in the day, India skipper, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to field first. Ravindra Jadeja was the only change that India had made to their team. He got introduced in place of injured Hardik Pandya.

However, the India pacers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah provided a dream start picking up two quick wickets within the sixth over of the match. However, Shakib Al Hasan who was looking aggressive had to depart scoring 17 off 12 deliveries.

Later, Bangladesh started losing their wickets at regular intervals. Jadeja who came in for injured Pandya bagged with four while Bumrah and Kumar each picked up three each. The Indian bowlers restrict Bangladesh at 173 picking up ten wickets within the 50th overs.

Furthermore, while chasing down the target, India openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan gave an excellent start

Later, Rohit and Rayudu added 45 runs in the middle. However, after Rubel picked up the wicket of Rayudu, Rohit and Dhoni added 64 runs at the end, but Dhoni had to depart on 33.

However, Rohit and Karthik took the initiative to wrap the match and India won the match by seven wickets with Rohit the highest scorer of the game.

Ravindra Jadeja returned with a big blow

India left-arm-spinner, Ravindra Jadeja is playing his 50-over format after 14 months. However, Jadeja made an impact against Bangladesh in Dubai with figures of 10-0-29-4.

He picked up the wickets of Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mohammad Mithun, and Mosaddek Hossain.

Moreover, Ravindra Jadeja coming in for Pandya who was sensational with his bowling attack to restrict Bangladesh to 173 runs.

Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehidy Hasan gave some hope to Bangladesh

Bangladesh tail-enders, Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehidy Hasan gave some ray of hope by making a partnership of 66 runs. They added the runs for their eighth wicket, before losing seven wickets scoring 101 runs on the board.

They put up some good show for their nation. Meanwhile, Mortaza hits two huge sixes along with Hasan who secured two boundaries and two massive sixes.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah each picked up three wickets each

The opening bowling attack of India did some excellent job to thrashed the batting line up of Bangladesh. However, Kumar and Bumrah each bagged with three wickets to their name.

The duo bowled splendidly and restricted Bangladesh to a score of 173 runs. Bhuvneshwar bowled his full quota picked up three wickets giving away 32 runs while Bumrah bowled 9.5 overs picked up as many scalps for 37 runs.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan partnered 50+ runs

India’s opening pair, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan partnered for 61 runs. However, the duo has been sensational throughout the series.

However, they just took 9.3 overs to reach the 50-run mark. Rohit and Shikhar together smashed six boundaries and one sixes to make it happen for another time.

The India skipper, Rohit Sharma played a sensational knock of unbeaten 86 runs off 104 balls. However, he remains as the backbone of the team in the 50-over format.

However, he partnered 61 runs with Dhawan and later added 64 runs with Dhoni. He retained himself till the end to wrap the match in his style. Meanwhile, Rohit’s 86 runs includes five boundaries and three sixes.
