Asia Cup 2018, Super 4 Match 1- India vs Bangladesh: Harbhajan Singh Congratulates Ravindra Jadeja on a Brilliant Comeback

Veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh congratulated Ravindra Jadeja for a sensational return to coloured clothing. In his comeback against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup Jadeja bagged a four-wicket haul which was instrumental in the end to all-out Bangladesh for a paltry score of 174 runs. It was a brilliant piece of bowling performance by India as they made light work of the Bangladesh batting line-up.

Taking to his twitter handle Harbhajan Singh wrote, “Good to see @imjadeja playing and making the most of this opportunity… 4 wickets well-done jaddu.. keep going#asiacup2018 @StarSportsIndia @BCCI. Bangladesh was pegged quite early as Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar bagged the first two wickets without too much score on the board. Ravindra Jadeja was introduced pretty early on in the attack. He conceded 12 runs in his first over but bagged the prized wicket of Shakib Al Hasan. the southpaw was going after Jadeja but eventually mistimed one to be dismissed quite cheaply in the end.

Ravindra Jadeja made a sensational return 

He bagged the crucial wicket of the centurion from the first match of the tournament, Mushfiqur Rahim and prized out Mohammad Mithun. It was a great effort by the spinner who is playing ODI cricket after a year. His performance will surely keep the selectors interested as India look to prepare a team for the 2019 World Cup. He also bagged the wicket of Mosaddek Hossain as Bangladesh never looked destined to get over the 200 mark. Mashrafe Mortaza struck ttwo consecutive sixes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar during the fag end of the innings.

However, after his dismissal, it was all too easy for India. Bangladesh could eventually muster 173 runs and by no means, the total would have challenged the star-studded Indian side. They began quite brilliantly and Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan looked in very good form. They shared a very good partnership of 61 runs before the dismissal of Dhawan. However, Rohit is looking in great touch and looks set to finish the match off for India.
