Asia Cup 2018: Watch - Ravindra Jadeja Opens Up on his New Hairstyle
India star, Ravindra Jadeja might come up with a new hairstyle when he walks out on the field again in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018.
Ravindra Jadeja made his much-awaited return to ODI cricket during the game against Bangladesh earlier this week. He returned to the playing eleven for the first time since the tour of the Windies in July last year.
Jadeja had lost his place after picking up four wickets in five matches at an average of 62.25 while conceding 5.92 runs per over at last year’s Champions Trophy. In the Caribbean series that followed, he couldn’t pick a wicket in two ODIs.
But a lucky break came for him when Axar Patel suffered an injury, and he got recalled for Asia Cup 2018 in the UAE. Well, Jadeja fully capitalised on the opportunity, as he bagged the Man of the Match award on his return. He took four wickets while conceding just 29 runs off his ten overs. His wickets broke the back of Bangladesh and pegged back their innings.
As a result, the Tigers could only manage 173. In reply, India chased it down inside 37 overs by losing just three wickets. Rohit Sharma led the chase with an unbeaten 83.
Meanwhile, Jadeja’s performance was not the only thing that caught the eyeballs. The all-rounder’s new hairstyle was equally attractive. The left-arm spinner had to set his hair after every delivery.
After the game ended, he opened up on his new style. In an interview with India’s fielding coach, R. Sridhar that was uploaded on the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) official website, Jadeja revealed why he got the new hairstyle. The star also said he might sport a new look in the upcoming game.
” I changed my hairstyle because I had the previous one for a long time; nearly two and a half months almost,” he said.
“Constantly moving my head to settle my hair is causing me some pain in the neck. So maybe this is the last day I keep this hairstyle. Maybe from tomorrow people will get to see a new hairstyle!” he added.
