Rishabh Pant has been among the headliners in the Perth Test. Though he dropped Shaun Marsh on day one, his six off Lyon caught everyone’s eye as well. However, the Australian spinner found success against him for the third time in two Tests. Earlier, during Adelaide match, Pant had hit Nathan for 18 runs in one over, and later, the off-spinner got the better off him. Now, in the Perth Test too, Rishabh Pant smacked Nathan for a massive six before falling to him sooner.
GARY knows how to get Pant!
GARY, as Aussies call Nathan Lyon, knows how to trouble the left-handers, especially Rishabh Pant. As mentioned above he had got Pant out in Adelaide, and now in the second Test, Lyon scalped his wicket too. As India lost Virat Kohli and batsmen before him at the stroke of lunch on day three, the visitors were seemingly under pressure. To release some burden off his shoulders, Pant thought of going after bowlers, finding a marginal success though.

Meanwhile, the left-handed batsman hit some clean boundaries and a six over long-on. However, Lyon had set up Pant and eventually got his wicket. The Australian off-spinner initially kept it wide and knowing the fielders were at the boundary; he dropped one close to the batsman. Pant, in an attempt to hit six, went for the slog but found Mitchell Starc at the deep on 36.
Closing in on his numbers, Nathan Lyon bagged his five-wicket haul in Perth and completed 13 wickets in two Tests so far. Moreover, India scored 283, 43 less than Australia’s first innings total.
