Perhaps, the Indian national cricket team never got the better bowling lineup than the current unit. The bunch of bowlers have been quite impressive on overseas tours and always did their best to get the better of the opposition. Meanwhile, the bowling coach, Bharat Arun was pleased with the results that are being obtained by his bowling unit.

Meanwhile, Bharat Arun stressed the fact that consistency has always been the missing thing in the past. However, the management wants to eradicate that, and he is hopeful the current setup has mastered it.

“Consistency was a big issue earlier, and that’s something which we have addressed with the bowlers. This is something they have really worked hard on. There’s a one per cent factor which we insist even during practice, but the bowlers have responded exceptionally well, so that’s showing dividends right now,” he said in Perth on Wednesday (December 12).

“Each time they come to the net and they bowl, they need to be aware of their plans and what they need to execute. Each time it’s a little different what they need to execute. We just test out how far they have executed it each time, so that feedback allows them to be more consistent. I will put it across to the bowlers and ask them what their plans are and as long as it’s in line to what we want to execute in the game, it’s perfectly alright.”

Further, the bowling coach hailed his bowlers for showing great results in South Africa, England and now, in Australia. He feels the current setup has been remarkably consistent in delivering the good for the Indian national cricket team.

“For what they have done in South Africa and what they did in England and now in Australia. This is one of the best group India has ever had. It’s a great feeling that the fast bowlers are doing a great job. It’s not just one or two bowlers, it’s a bunch of players who are doing a good job. It’s not about doing well, it’s about the effort and the consistency over a period of time, and that’s very encouraging,” he inferred.

Well, the performance graph of the Indian bowlers in the last couple of years has been top-class. As Bharat Arun said, the current bowling setup has been the biggest asset for India’s successful journey across the formats.
