Just when things looked all set for Prithvi Shaw to open innings for India against Australia in Tests, an unfortunate injury took place, which ruled him out of the Adelaide match. However, the all-rounder, Ravichandran Ashwin feels this might be blessing in disguise for other cricketers in the side.

Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw has been brilliant for India ever since he made his debut. He smashed a scintillating century on his debut against the Windies and then followed it up with brilliant fifties as well.

Speaking of the Prithvi Shaw injury, Ravichandran Ashwin feels it was an unfortunate incident for the youngster. Further, he thought this would open the chance for someone else to make it happen for the visitors.

Ashwin went on to say he would believe in a saying, and everything happens for a reason. He is hopeful that something good is on the way for the youngster when he makes a return to the side.

”I think he’s feeling a bit sore. Clearly swollen up a little bit. Quite sad it happened just when he came out on the field. I hope he recovers faster. He hasn’t spoken much. It’s obviously something that has hit him really hard. He’s a young boy who has come to play in Australia for the first time, he had a dream start to his Test career, so it must be quite hard,” Ashwin quoted.

”I shouldn’t be saying this but it’s unfortunate what happened. You must have heard these cliched lines before, but these things happen in the game. It’s an opportunity for someone else. I believe everything happens for a reason and if it’s happened for the right reasons I’m happy for it,” he added.

Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Prithvi Shaw. Hopefully, as Ashwin said, Prithvi Shaw would return with some fruitful performances for the Indian team.
