Former Australian cricketer Belinda Clark, who is presently the Executive General Manager of Community Cricket at Cricket Australia, is excited and thoroughly welcomes the participating teams. The legendary Aussie batter further conceded that this is an exciting opportunity for our indoor sides to showcase their expertise and skill in this version of the sport.

“It’s not often that cricketers get to participate in a World Cup in their own backyard, but the Australian indoor teams will relish the opportunity to join their Australian men’s and women’s T20I teams in 2020, who get this chance.”

“We look forward to welcoming the world’s best players to the 2020 Indoor Cricket World Cup as the host nation and defending champions in the men’s and women’s division. This event is a great opportunity for our elite indoor teams to take centre stage and show the excitement and skill of this format of the game.” Clark said as quoted by Hindustan Times.

The squads for Australia would be announced following the Indoor Cricket National Championships that would take place at Casey Stadium between June 27th to July 11th.
