Former Indian National Cricket team skipper MS Dhoni stormed back to form as he guided his side to six-wicket win over Australia at Adelaide to level the series 1-1. The knock earned praise one and all and Sourav Ganguly seemed impressed with Dhoni saying that it will be a big possitive for India.
MS Dhoni, however, attracted a lot of eyeballs for his slow knock in the opening ODI. Moreover, he had the most mediocre year in his international career scoring only 275 runs in 20 ODIs. On Tuesday, he stitched an 82-run partnership with skipper Virat Kohli that put India on command. After Kohli’s dismissal, he led the charge with Dinesh Karthik to see off the target with four balls to spare.

“Two things are to be seen from this innings. When he (Dhoni) was playing with Virat, he played differently and when he was out, he changed his game. When Kohli plays, he takes the pressure off the other player but once he got out, he took the game forward,” he said to India Today.
“Dhoni played a great inning after a long time. It is a big positive for India that he played like that and this will give him confidence. The team management will also get confidence from this that they were not wrong to back him,” Ganguly concluded.
