The Indian cricket team is garnering praises from all around the world after sealing the four-match Test series against Australia and becoming the first Indian side to do so. The Virat Kohli-led Men in Blue was praised by West Indian cricketing legend Sir Vivian Richards, who took to Twitter to congratulate the Indian team for scripting history and also the heroics of Cheteshwar Pujara.
Richards hailed the batting performance of Man of the Series – Cheteshwar Pujara – who scored an impressive 521 runs in seven innings at a remarkable average of 72.43. Regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time, Richards hailed Pujara’s performance and termed it ‘gold stuff.

Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara, who received high praises from all corners of the world after his brilliant batting display in Australia has bowled him over for the congratulations from his one of the inspirations West Indies great Vivian Richards.
“Let me take this opportunity to congratulate Virat and your team for such a magnificent performance down under,” Richards said in a video on Twitter. It was always gonna be tough but you guys came out smelling sweet… And to Pujara, just magnificent batsmanship. I just felt real gold stuff. Well done to everyone. Magnificent performance again. Congratulations to the Indian team… and to my good mate Ravi. Well done again!”
Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara replied quoting that the congratulations from Vivian Richards mean a lot to him. He also revealed that the Windies former legendary cricketer is one of his inspirations.

Cheteshwar Pujara was in outstanding form in Australia. Last month, he had bailed India out of trouble with a sublime 123 at the Adelaide Oval. Before that, he scored another half-century in the second innings, which ensured India had enough on the board to secure a historic win. Later, he knocked a blistering 193 to end series on a great note.
