India’s opening batsman KL Rahul showed great sportsmanship while fielding at mid-on. It was the first ball of the day three for Ravindra Jadeja when Australia’s rookie opener Marcus Harris decided to take him on. However, Harris could not get his timing right and could not clear the mid-on fieldsman.
KL Rahul had to dive forward to go for the catch. However, the ball didn’t carry to him and the Karnataka batsman was quick to signal it to the umpire that the ball has felt short. Subsequently, Ian Gould was impressed by KL Rahul as he didn’t have to go for the review and take the matter upstairs to the third umpire. However, KL Rahul isn’t in the best of forms in the recent past.

Good sportsman spirit by KL Rahul.
Meanwhile, Australia has got off to a steady start on the third day morning. Australia’s greenhorn opener Marcus Harris has looked positive as he has taken on the Indian bowlers. On the other hand, Usman Khawaja has adopted a cautious approach. Khawaja had a second life when he was dropped in the fag end of the second day’s play.
There is nothing much in the track for the pacers and Indian skipper Virat Kohli has brought on his two spinners in Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav. India had posted a monumental score of 622 runs in the first innings.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant scored daddy hundreds to help India put their noses in front. Pujara had scored 193 whereas Rishabh Pant scored 159 runs and broke a plethora of records on second day’s play.
Furthermore, Mayank Agarwal and Ravindra Jadeja scored invaluable fifties to make their contribution. Agarwal scored 77 whereas Jadeja smashed 81 in quick time.
Here is the fine effort from KL Rahul and Ian Gould’s reaction:
A good effort from Rahul and he immediately says it bounced. Great stuff. Umpire Gould a big fan of it #CloseMatters#AUSvIND | @GilletteAU pic.twitter.com/7nA0H5Lsc7
