Former Indian spinner and now turned expert Murali Kartik explained how Shane Warne’s tips have helped Kuldeep Yadav. It was noted during the Adelaide Test when Shane Warne was giving invaluable suggestion to India’s chinaman. In fact, Warne was asking Kuldeep to make better use of his shoulder while delivering the ball.

Murali Kartik who is in the expert panel for Sony ESPN revealed how Warne’s guidance has helped Kuldeep to get extra fizz on the ball. Kuldeep was the pick of the Indian bowlers on third day’s play as the mystery chinaman scalped three wickets.

Kuldeep was the pick of the bowlers.

Kuldeep bowled a fine flighted ball to flummox the Australian captain Tim Paine. The southpaw spinner gave good air to the ball and Paine felt for the bait to go for the expensive drive.

“The front leading arm and all the momentum he gathers as a bowler is dissipated because his front arm goes towards fine-leg. Every time Warne was explaining to him, the shoulder goes down rather than away, which means the leading arm is actually following. It is going straight rather than away from you. That is something that will help him get the ‘fizz’ which Warne used to get,” Karthik explained on Sony Six.

This is Kuldeep Yadav’s first Test match on Australia soil and he would be proud after his performance. The mystery spinner also took the pivotal wickets of Usman Khawaja and Travis Head.

India is in a shoo-in position.

Khawaja tried to take the attack against Kuldeep but could not get his timing right and thus gave a simple catch to Cheteshwar Pujara at mid-wicket. Furthermore, Travis Head shimmied down the wicket and gave the return catch to Yadav. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja scalped two wickets whereas Mohammed Shami took one to push Australia behind the eighth-ball.

The fourth day’s play has been delayed due to rain after play was called off early on day three due to bad lights. Australia is 236-6 and they are still behind by 386 runs. Thus, India is on the cusp of winning their maiden Test series in Australia.
