Australia got the big wicket of Rohit Sharma when Shaun Marsh dived to his left to take a good catch at first slip. Rohit Sharma played across the line against Peter Siddle and his bat closed at the point of impact with the ball. The right-hander got the outside edge and had to walk back. India’s deputy must have been disappointed as it was a poor shot.

Subsequently, it was a big wicket for Australia as Rohit Sharma is in fine form in the recent past. The flamboyant right-hander had scored a majestic knock of 133 runs off just 129 balls in the first ODI and 43 runs in the second match.

Big Wicket for Australia.

However, his brilliant innings of 133 went in vain as India lost the first match by 34 runs. Rohit didn’t get any support from the other end and he was the lone warrior in the side.

On the other hand, Australia has set a target of 231 runs for the Indian team in the decider of the series. The tourists have got off to a cautious start in the run-chase as they are 60-2 after 17 overs. Marcus Stoinis took a sharp caught and bowl to dismiss India’s southpaw opener Shikhar Dhawan, who scored 23 runs.

The heroes of the previous match MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are currently batting for the Indian team. Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal was the chief destroyer of the Australian innings. Chahal scalped six wickets for 42 runs, which are his best bowling figures in the ODI format.

Chahal bowled with great control and breathed down the neck of the Australian batsmen. The leg-spinner finally got his chance in the playing XI and he was able to make the most of it. Meanwhile, the series is currently tied at 1-1.
