Indian skipper Virat Kohli played the ball towards the fine leg position in the 31st over while playing against Glenn Maxwell and raced back for the second. However, when Kohli was completing his first run, Maxwell stood his ground. Subsequently, Kohli was not happy that Maxwell didn’t move out of his way and gave a stare to the Australian all-rounder after getting back to the striker’s end. Maxwell then said, “What” to Virat Kohli and then Kohli shook his head in disgust.

However, Glenn Maxwell had the last laugh as he got the better of Ambati Rayudu. The right-handed batsman tried to take the attack against Maxwell and threw away his wicket. Subsequently, Maxwell gave a send-off to Ambati Rayudu.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is looking good as he is batting on 85 runs. India needs another 97 runs from 80 balls. Kohli has the company of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.

On the other hand, Australia posted a competitive score of 298 runs in the first innings. Shaun Marsh was the architect of the innings as he scored a magnificent hundred. The southpaw scored 131 runs and batted at the top of his game.

Furthermore, Glenn Maxwell provided the finishing touches to the innings. The combative right-hander scored a quickfire knock of 48 runs from 36 balls and helped Australia in reaching a par score.

Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the Indian bowlers in the first innings. He scalped four wickets and gave away only 45 runs in his 10 overs quota. However, Mohammed Siraj didn’t have the best of debuts as he leaked 76 runs in his spell.

Shikhar Dhawan provided a brisk start but he also felled to a poor shot. Australia is currently leading 1-0 and this is a must-win match for the visitors.
