Bumrah has been in top form since the start of the year in Test cricket and has been a regular in the Indian team. Soon, Jasprit Bumrah became a go-to bowler for captain Virat Kohli. Meanwhile, he credits Ranji Trophy for his success just after the comment by Australian commentator Kerry O’Keefe.

The former Australian cricketer-turned-Broadcaster Keery O’Keefe ridiculed the scores of Mayank Agarwal in first-class cricket. He called that Mayank Agarwal’s triple hundred might have come against the waiters and the canteen people. However, later, he apologised.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah quoted that Ranji Trophy is the substance behind his growth in the ODI and Test format of the game. However, he credited IPL for making him learn to deal with pressure situations of the game.

“When we play on similar wickets back home, the ball reverses. So you try to make the most of it. We were trying to use our experience in First-Class cricket where we have bowled with reverse-swinging balls. That was the plan,” Bumrah told BCCI in an interview.

“… Yes, I have played in the IPL. But for Test match cricket, I always credit first-class cricket. IPL is four overs but over there you have to continuously bowl. So first-class cricket has really helped shape my career, even in ODI cricket and Test matches,” Bumrah said.

Well, it was an impressive show from Jasprit Bumrah to dismantle Australian lineup for just 151 runs on the board. The right-handed fast bowler rattled the defence of Australians with ease to register his best bowling figures in an innings on the third day of the Test match.
