After failing to secure victory at Adelaide against India, Australia came up with a lively track for the second Test against India. However, the history reveals some poor display of cricket by Indians on green tops. However, this time, the Indian team is confident of making a turnaround, and they have got the backing of former England skipper Michael Vaughan as well.

Looking at the Perth wicket, it seems like the upcoming clash is all about the fast bowlers. Both the sides have got quality bowlers in their ranks, who can make the difference on their given day.

Meanwhile, Vaughan believes Indians got the advantage over the home side.

It is a big risk that Australia is taking – Michael Vaughan on Perth wicket

Vaughan maintained that he had seen the progress of Indian bowlers right from the England series. He believes the current Indian attack comprises of Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami would certainly emerge out top on the greenish wicket.

Further, he added that Indian bowlers delivered the goods at Adelaide even when the pitch isn’t that supporting for the fast bowlers.

Going by that, Vaughan feels that Australia is taking a significant risk for the second Test.

“Certainly from seeing the Indian attack in England and at the Adelaide Oval, Bumrah, Shami and Sharma will be going to bed tonight thinking thank you,” Vaughan told reporters at a Fox Cricket event.

“The actual three quicks of India out bowled the three quicks of Australia. They were outstanding…It’s a big risk that Australia is taking,” he added.

“They clearly need a pitch that they feel they can get at the Indian batsmen. But I just look to the game at Adelaide Oval. It wasn’t the pitch, it wasn’t anything to do with the conditions. It was just that India produced more discipline for longer periods,” he added.

Well, it would be interesting to see how Indian bowlers would approach the game at Perth. Meanwhile, as Vaughan said, it is a big risk taken by Australia by looking at the form of the Indian bowlers in the recent past.
