The Indian team chief selector has claimed Ravindra Jadeja was absolutely fit before the selection of the team. On the other hand, India’s head coach Ravi Shastri had revealed that the all-rounder was not fully fit for the second Test match at Perth. The visitors had gone with Umesh Yadav in the previous Test match. However, many believed that Ravindra Jadeja or Bhuvneshwar Kumar would have been better choices for the tourists.

Thus, it has sparked another controversy regarding the selection of the team. The Indian team has come up with some peculiar decision making as they haven’t read the conditions well.

This is controversial again.

Meanwhile, MSK Prasad revealed Ravindra Jadeja was fully fit according to the report they had received. However, Ravi Shastri claimed Ravindra Jadeja was 70-80% before the Perth Test. Hence, he was ignored for the playing XI.

“On the eve of any selection meeting, the selection committee is given a fitness report of all the players,” Prasad told reporters in Melbourne. “In that report, Jadeja was absolutely fit. So we picked him. After we picked him, he went and played Ranji Trophy also, he bowled 60 overs [64, against Railways]. So there is no question of him being unfit at the time of selection.”

Furthermore, MSK Prasad also the cleared the air for Ravindra Jadeja’s second injection. However, Jadeja is fine now and he is part of the playing XI for the Boxing Day Test match.

“Yes, it is a process. Whenever a health issue comes up, we have a group in which it is being placed.”

“All that is looked after by the physio, and they have very clearly given it in the statement,” Prasad said when asked about Jadeja’s second injection.

India and Australia will take on each other in the third Test match at Melbourne with the series tied at 1-1.
