Well, yet another cricket enthusiast makes his comment on the opening conundrum for Indian National Cricket Team. Shashi Tharoor, the notable politician in India is an ardent follower of the Indian team. He feels that Ravichandran Ashwin should open Innings with Mayank Agarwal for the upcoming Boxing Day Test.
Before revealing his opening pair, Shashi Tharoor felt sad for the young Prithvi Shaw, who missed with an injury. He felt that it is a great loss for India than the setback against Australia in the Perth Test.
We should ask Ravichandran Ashwin to open:
Further, he went on to quote that Tamil Nadu all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin should open the innings for India alongside Mayank Agarwal. He feels that it would help India to bring in an extra-all-rounder in the side.

Digging into his tweet, it read ”The departure of Prithvi Shaw is a bigger setback than the Test loss to Australia. Perhaps we should ask Ravichandran Ashwin to open with Mayank Aggarwal now? He has an organised defence & a calm head on his shoulders. And that would free up a slot for a middle-order bat or all-rounder.”

Recently, Sanjay Manjrekar quoted that Vihari got a lovely technique to deal with the bowling of Australia. He believes that Vihari is a proper top-order batsman, who got a great temperament to play the long innings for the Indian side.
Well, it would be interesting to see whether India considers the suggestion by Shashi Tharoor. If Ravichandran Ashwin gets the opener role, India can embed Hardik Pandya in the remaining lower-middle-order slot.
All in all, a big headache is ahead for the Indian side going into the Boxing Day Test. There are quite a few options available in the slot for India but it is the matter of team balance, which needs to get right.
