However, the win in Sydney helped India level the three-match T20I series 1-1. Earlier, India had lost the opening game at the Gabba, Brisbane before the second T20I in Melbourne got washed out. In the deciding match, it was Virat Kohli-led India who prevailed over the Aussies eventually.

However, earlier in the day, Aussie skipper, Aaron Finch won the toss and put Virat Kohli’s men to field first. The opening duo of Finch and Short added some important 68 runs for the first wicket. India’s chinaman Kuldeep Yadav opened the account, as he picked up the the captain.

Later, the India all-rounder, Krunal Pandya who seemed to be expensive in the first T20I game bowled a superb spell from his full quota. Pandya was the pick of the bowlers who bagged four wickets to his name. He removed the dangerman Maxwell who played a weak shot and ended up giving a catch to Rohit Sharma.

However, Australia’s lower-middle order batsmen, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Marcus Stoinis added some crucial 33 runs at the end to post a score of 164 runs. While chasing down the target, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan put a fiery start adding 67 runs within the six overs. After that, India lost their three wickets adding 41 runs.

“Guess they love me a lot, and I’ll make them cheers more *thigh-slaps* Tremendous to see Indian support. I’m sure they’ll support us for the Tests too. It was fun. As a batsman, when you score it always feels good. It’s good that we were able to draw this series.”
