Australia vs India 2018; Well, it has been a great day at the office for Indians at Perth. Though they started the day on a bad note, the bowling department pulled things back in a scintillating way to sit on the driver seat. It was a collective bowling effort from the Indians while Australian batsmen would be disappointed for not converting their starts.
Initially, earlier in the day, Tim Paine of Australia won the toss and asked Indians to roll their arms first. Well, it seemed to be a good decision, as the openers Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris have been quite impressive in their approach.
Marcus Harris knocks 70, Indian bowlers pull back things:
The duo kept Indian players chasing the leather for the most part of the time to walk unbeaten for having lunch on Day 1. However, the return back to the action has seen Indian bowlers showing their dominance on the beautiful wicket.
First, it was Jasprit Bumrah, who trapped Aaron Finch (50) plumb in front of the wicket while Hanuma Vihari showed his mojo by sending in-form Marcus Harris, who scored 70. Then walked, Usman Khawaja, who continued his poor form in the series by edging Umesh Yadav to Rishabh Pant.
Later, it was the turn of Ishant Sharma to find a number on his wickets column. He got better off Peter Handscomb but it was needed a sensational effort from Virat Kohli to grab a stunner at slip cordon.

Just when things looked like drifting away, Travis Head and Shaun Marsh added a nice 84-run partnership for the fifth wicket. It was once again Hanuma Vihari, who gave the breakthrough by finding the edge of Marsh’s willow.
He was quickly followed by Travis Head, who failed to execute his shot of Ishant Sharma. However, at the end of the day, Australia scored 277/6 on the board. Tim Paine and Pat Cummins are at the crease with 16 and 11 respectively.

This Perth pitch is showing more colours than Benetton. One good length ball goes along the ground to Pant, another one goes over his head ?

Handscomb, again, tries cutting short balls angling into his body. Feel like he gets out the same was every time CBH or caught by slip cordon. No room for him and Paine when we have other middle order batsmen who offer smarter test match stroke play #AUSvIND

Right, this is the pitch now that we were told to expect. But this could actually get dangerous if the cracks open up too quickly. Already a bit up and down

So Kohli does to Handscomb as Khawaja did to him
