Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne is not happy with the way Peter Handscomb batted in both the innings in Perth Test against Indian National Cricket team. The right-hander could only manage to score 7 and 13 runs respectively in both the innings. Interestingly, Ishant Sharma dismissed Handscomb in both the essays of the Perth Test.

Handscomb made a blunder in both the innings

Meanwhile, Peter Handscomb got out in the first innings as Indian National cricket team skipper Virat Kohli took a stunner. It was a loose shot from him, and Kohli plucks out a blinder. It was a short ball, disconcerting bounce and Handscomb looked to steer it and was caught at second slip. That was moving at the pace of knots, and Kohli leaped up, threw his right hand in the air and took it. It was only because of his shot selection that the hosts lost their wicket.

On the other hand, Ishant Sharma did the right way to dismiss him again on the second essay. It was a was full, tailing in and Handscomb played all across the line to miss it and be adjudged out. Australia continued to lose quick wickets and India made a came back into the game. However, it was a terrific first ball from Ishant which caught the batsman unaware, and the dodgy technique of going back to fuller balls has not helped Handscomb.

However, former Australian spinner Shane Warne is not happy with the way Handscomb played in both the innings. Previously he used to applaud the 27-year-old, but now Warne feels that he Handscomb’s technique to play the shots is wrong. He also added that Marcus Stoinis should replace him in the next Test if he gets fit. Otherwise, Mitchell Marsh should do the honour.

“I would love to be positive about Handscomb. But enough now, it’s not fair on Peter to keep picking him – it’s a lamb to the slaughter. I’ve said it so many times now, but you cannot play international cricket with a technique like that. Stoinis in if fit if not then M Marsh!” Shane Warne tweeted on his account.
