Australia vs South Africa 2018: Watch Adam Zampa Apply Something on Ball During Second ODI
Updated - 10 Nov 2018, 04:00 PM
Australia’s leg-spinner Adam Zampa was the cynosure of all eyes in the second ODI against South Africa. Zampa was caught in the cameras when he was putting his hand in the pocket before delivering the ball. The leg-spinner also applied something on to the ball before bowling. However, it is not clear what he is applying to the ball after putting his hand in pocket. Meanwhile, Zampa went wicketless in the second ODI against the Proteas as he leaked 57 runs in his nine overs.
Australia was finally able to end their winning drought as they won the match by the skin of their teeth. The hosts won the contest by seven runs to finally come well after a long time. Thus, this win must have acted as a shot in the arm for the Australian team.
Adam Zampa will not like to put Australia in more trouble.
Meanwhile, Australia is already hit hard by the ball-tampering scandal. Steven Smith and David Warner were banned for a year after they were found guilty in the Cape Town Test match against South Africa. The rookie opener Cameroon Bancroft was caught red-handed while applying sandpaper on the ball. However, Bancroft received a ban of nine months. Thus, Adam Zampa will not like to put himself and his team in any further trouble.
Australia has fared poorly after the huge controversy and thus they have had a massive impact on their performances. They haven’t been able to come up with good shows in the recent past. In fact, there is no doubt that they touched a new low in the recent past as they have found themselves on the wrong side of the result.
Meanwhile, Adam Zampa was seen having a talk with Australia’s all-rounder Glenn Maxwell before applying something on the ball.
Australia and South Africa will take on in the decider on November 11 at Hobart.
