After a fine time, a batsman from Australia has scored a century in the Test format of the game. It has been a long time since watching an Australian player reaching the three-mark figure. Highlighting the same, the former English cricketer Michael Vaughan makes fun of Australian Cricket Team after Joe Burns and Travis Head knocking centuries.
Just after the completion of the centuries, the Englishman, in his tweet, quoted that there is breaking news in the game of cricket, as Australian batsman scored centuries. It was a pure sarcastic tweet, where he took a dig at the poor form of the team in the recent past.
Digging into his tweet, it read ”BREAKING NEWS … An Australian has scored a TEST century.”

Joe Burns, Travis Head kept Australia in a driver seat:
Initially, it was Australia, who won the toss and chose to bat first. The start wasn’t that great as Sri Lankan bowlers got better of Marcus Harris and Usman Khawaja. Harris was dismissed for 11 runs to his name while Usman Khawaja bagged a duck in his kitty.
However, Joe Burns and Travis Head came to their aid. The duo was brilliant in finding the fence more often than not. From 28/3, they both put on a fantastic 308-run partnership for the fourth wicket to smash quite a few records on their way. Both played at a great strike to put Australians on the driving seat.
Vishwa Fernando was the pick of bowlers:
Travis Head, who scored 161 lost a bit a concentration, which saw Vishwa Fernando bag his third wicket in the innings. On the other hand, Joe Burns showed his worth as the batsman, who carried his bat right throughout the day.
Though Travis Head walked back, Kurtis Patterson avoided the tricky last few overs to walk back unbeaten alongside Burns. The stylish opener registered an unbeaten 172*. For Sri Lanka, Vishwa Fernando was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets while Chamika picked up 1 wicket.
