Members of the Australian cricket team have come up with a unique punishment for their chief coach Justin Langer every time he fails to nick the ball during the practice sessions. Whenever Langer misses a nick, he does 10 pushups to make for the mistake.

He was seen doing the pushups a few days before the ongoing fourth Test and when asked about it, Langer revealed the unique punishment from the players.

The Australian camp is in a jovial mood after overcoming a surprising defeat at the hands of England in the third Test. The players have recovered well from that defeat and are on the cusp of winning the fourth Test, where they need eight wickets on the final day. The visitors have 365 runs to save in 90 overs.

England are unlikely to chase down the total unless they manage to pull off a heist like they did in the previous Test match.

A win in the fourth Test will see the Ashes sealed for Australia, no matter the result of the fifth Test match. Under Steve Smith, Australia had regained Ashes from England in 2017/18 at home. Winning the series away from home will be a big achievement of the team led by Tim Paine.

Coming to Langer, the ongoing series is his first ‘Ashes’ series as the chief coach of Australia. As coach, he did not have a good time in 2018/19 after Australia lost the Test series to India, where the visitors became the Asian team to defeat Australia in Australia in Tests.

An Ashes series win will be the biggest form of redemption for Langer and Australia.

Langer took over as the chief coach of Australia after Darren Lehmann quit a year before his contract was to end. Australia had a torrid run in England in Langer’s maiden series as they lost five ODIs and sole T20I on the tour.

They have had mixed results since the and the Ashes series win will be the biggest milestone in his career as chief coach, should Australia win.
