India’s all-rounder Axar Patel has replaced injured Washington Sundar for the England One-Day series.

The 18-year old young sensation had twisted his ankle before the Ireland T20I series while playing football. Thus, the Tamil Nadu spinner got ruled out of both T20I’s and ODI’s.

Thus, it would be a golden opportunity for Axar Patel to make a strong case for himself. In fact, Axar also has the experience of playing in the County Championship which can further help him.

Meanwhile, the ODI series will kick start from July 12 with the first match to be played at Trent Bridge. It is the same venue where England recently smashed the record for the highest ODI score of 481 runs against Australia.

Meanwhile, India suffered another blow before the T20I series against England. The visitors will miss the services of their talisman bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the three-match T20I series.

Deepak Chahar has replaced Bumrah for the three T20Is. Chahar has impressed on his recent tour to England with India A side.

Furthermore, the Rajasthan fast bowler had also impressed while playing for IPL 2018 champions, Chennai Super Kings.

Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya also received his maiden call-up to the Indian squad. Pandya replaced Washington Sundar for the T20I series.

The southpaw all-rounder had impressed in the last two seasons of the IPL while playing for the Mumbai Indians.

Consequently, it would be a great opportunity for these young lads to showcase their skills if they get their chances in the playing XI.

The Indian team will kick off their T20I series on July 3 at Old Trafford while the first One-Dayer will be played on July 12. The five-match Test series will follow the limited-overs leg.
