Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot on December 11 in Italy. The news was kept privy until the last minute. Yesterday, in the evening though, the news came out as soon as they tied the knot and the news was made official by the couple on social media.
Later, few videos of the function also came out which was a treat for the fans.
Virat Kohli is currently on rest and is not playing the limited overs series against Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma is leading the side in his absence. Kohli, though, will return to the side for the series against South Africa. He will first lead the 17-member side in the Test series followed by ODIs and T20Is as well.
This is after a period of one and a half year when Kohli took rest from international duties. It was last in the series against Zimbabwe when Kohli was rested. MS Dhoni, who was still the captain in limited overs format, led the team to the country. Thereafter, Kohli returned to the team to play four-match Test series against Windies in the month of July-August.
