Bangladesh veteran all-rounder Shakib al Hasan returns from injury, as BCB announces a 13-man squad for the first Test against the Windies, which begins on November 22 in Chittagong.

Of late, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe were involved in a bilateral series. Bangladesh had won the ODI series, while later, during the Tests, the hosts were left in some trouble after losing the first game against Zimbabwe in the Sylhet. However, they managed to win the last match in Dhaka and levelled the two-match Test series 1-1.

During the second Test, Mominul Haque hit an impressive 161 runs while Mushfiqur Rahim smashed his career-best 219. Besides the beautiful batting from the duo, Taijul Islam took a five-wicket haul in the first innings, and Mehidy Hasan achieved the same feat in the second essay to hand hosts an impressive win.

Speaking of the Windies, the men from the Caribbean first lost the Tests against India before failing to leave any mark in the limited-overs series.

Meanwhile, the star all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan has been out of action since returning home midway through Asia Cup 2018. He sustained an injury in his finger that needed surgery.

However, since 2002, both the teams have played seven Test series out of which, the Caribbean side managed to win six, and the Tigers only managed to win for a single time.  Previously, Bangladesh had toured the Windies for two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is. Windies whitewashed Bangladesh in the Test series, and later the visitors won the ODI series 2-1 following another 2-1 win in the T20Is.
