BCCI Creates 'Team Mask Force'; Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli And Other Cricketers Share Special Message For Fans

In a bid to fight the rising proliferation of the global contagion that is the coronavirus, public figures from all walks of life are taking to social media to spread awareness among common people about the necessary precautions in a bid to avert themselves and their closed ones from the virus.
Taking the lead, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has come up with a new initiative. The new initiative from the apex cricketing body is a video where legendary cricketers like current captain Virat Kohli, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, and several other players can be seen spreading awareness among the people of the importance of wearing masks in public.
The BCCI, in a video shared on their social media handles, gave a new name to Team India- Team Mask Force.

Indian captain Virat Kohli, who has been pretty active on social media as far as spreading awareness is concerned, said that being a part of Indian team is a matter of pride but in the wake of the current situation, they are going to create a bigger team- Team Mask Force.
“Being a part of the India team is a matter of great pride. But today we are going to create a bigger team, Team Mask Force,” Indian captain Virat Kohli said in the video.

Meanwhile, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar urged the people to make their own home-made masks besides reminding them to wash their hands for 20 seconds and to also maintain social distancing.
“Come on India, make masks and become part of mask force. And remember to wash hands for 20 seconds and maintain social distancing.” Sachin Tendulkar said.
Apart from Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, the video had messages from former captain and the current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, Men’s and Women team openers Rohit Sharma and Smriti Mandhana, Women T20I captain Harmanpreet Kaur, swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag, ‘The Wall’ Rahul Dravid and the highest run-getter in the history of Women ODI cricket Mithali Raj, all of whom spoke about the importance of wearing masks and following the directions given by the central government.
