India won the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2018, but head coach Rahul Dravid was still unhappy.
Not because of the performance of his young boys but because of the income disparity between him and his support staff.

Dravid is regarded as one of the most genuine characters in Indian cricket. He had earlier said that it was unfair that he was being paid more than the rest of the coaching staff.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had declared that Dravid would be rewarded with a prize of Rs 50 lakh, the players 30 lakh each, and the support staff Rs 20 lakh each.

However, it seems that the BCCI has heard Rahul Dravid’s request to equalize the reward.
According to a report, the BCCI has decided to give every member of the coaching staff, including Dravid, a reward of Rs 25 lakh.

In fact, every member who was associated with the Under-19 team’s year-long preparation for the World Cup will also be rewarded the same amount.
The family of former team trainer Rajesh Sawant, who passed away in 2017, will also receive the money.
A board member said:
“From the time the award was announced, Dravid wasn’t happy with him getting much more than others. He informed the Board that he felt that every member had played an equal role in the team winning the World Cup. It surprised many in the BCCI that he was ready to take a cut in his own earning,”

The member who will now receive the reward of Rs 25 lakh are:
Rahul Dravid, Paras Mhambrey, Abhay Sharma, Yogesh Parmar, Anand Date, Mangesh Gaikwad, Devraj Raut, WV Raman, Manuj Sharma, Sumeet Malahapurkar, Amogh Pandit, and the family of late trainer Rajesh Savant.
Dravid receives Rs 4 crore per year for a 3-year-contract with the Indian junior and ‘A’ teams.
