Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has lashed out at Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani after he took a dig at the security situation in India. With the teams still hesitating in touring Pakistan due to security reasons, Ehsan Mani slammed the players and surprisingly targeted India in his rant. Mani said that India is ‘a greater security risk than Pakistan’.
Having played their home games in UAE this decade, Pakistan are desperately trying to resume international cricket at home in full flow. However, the international teams are still not convinced with the security situations. Recently, Sri Lanka toured Pakistan and the latter are now gearing up to host Bangladesh.
However, the Bangladesh players and coaches have expressed their apprehensions overs visiting Pakistan citing security reasons. And the hesitation of other teams seem to have infuriated Mani as he launched a scathing attack at them.
“We have proved Pakistan is safe, if someone isn’t coming then they should prove that it’s unsafe. At this time, India is a far greater security risk than Pakistan,” Mani told reporters.
“No one should now doubt security arrangements in Pakistan after successful Sri Lanka Test series. This is a turning point for revival of Test cricket in Pakistan. Media and fans played an important role in portraying positive image of Pakistan worldwide,” he added.

BCCI hits back at Mani:
BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal lashed out at Mani for his unpleasant remark on India’s security. He also took a dig at Mani, saying that the PCB chairman hardly lives in Pakistan and is thus not aware of the security condition of his own country.
“For a person who stays mostly in London, it is inappropriate for him to comment anything on India’s security. He is not even eligible to comment on Pakistan’s security. He hardly stays there. If he gets to spend more time in Pakistan, he would get to understand the real situation there,” Dhumal told Hindustan Times.
The latest turn of events are set to further deteriorate the already poor bilateral relation between India and Pakistan. India have suspended their bilateral ties with Pakistan in the wake of the latter’s cross-border terrorism activities. The arch-rivals have not played a bilateral series since 2012 when Pakistan visited India for a short series.
